Our Mission:

The Western New York Coalition for the Homeless is an association of service providers and concerned individuals who have joined together to empower and advocate for people in need of safe, affordable, and permanent housing and related services.

Who we are:

The WNY Coalition for the Homeless was founded in 1980 and has continued to serve the community for more than three decades, empowering and advocating for individuals who lack safe, affordable, permanent housing. Over time the Coalition has grown and now includes approximately 50 different agencies.

What we do:

  • Educate the public and providers around the concerns and needs of those without housing
  • Identify and ameliorate service gaps
  • Coordinate and enhance outreach efforts
  • Advocate for permanent solutions to homelessness
  • Improve and monitor the quality of service provision
  • Develop new resources
  • Coordinate between providers and concerned individuals to best serve both the sheltered and unsheltered homeless in the local community
